Baniyas Club held a press conference ahead of their match against Khorfakkan in the second leg of the preliminary round of the ADIB Cup, attended by team coach Ivaylo Petev and player Ahmed Fawzi.

Coach Ivaylo Petev emphasized that the team is entering this match as if it were the second half of the first match, noting that Baniyas performed well in the first leg and now aspires to play with high focus and intelligence to achieve a positive result that will secure qualification to the next round.

Petev explained: "We work daily to develop and improve, and this was clearly evident in the last match, as this work is reflected in the team's performance on the field. Khorfakkan has distinguished players capable of scoring from half-chances, as we saw in the first match. Therefore, we must limit their threat and maintain focus throughout the match."

Regarding the team's readiness, the coach explained that everyone is ready for this match. He noted that there may be a minor injury to player Jacob that could prevent him from participating, in addition to the absence of international players. Mozgovoy has completed his Uzbekistan career, while Fahad Al Dhanhani and Mackenzie Hunt have completed their careers with the UAE. Other than that, the team is ready for this important match.

For his part, player Ahmed Fawzi emphasized that the first match was difficult, but the team managed to come away with a positive result. Now, the goal is to secure qualification at Bani Yas Stadium, amidst the support of the fans.
