Head coach Daniel Isăilă stressed the importance of the match, noting that it comes after the team’s first victory of the season and qualification to the next round of the President’s Cup. He said:
“This is an important match for us. We come into it after our first win of the season and qualification in a key competition, but we still haven’t collected points in the league, which is now our main focus. I see the team in a positive place, with good spirit and high confidence.”

He added:

Speaking about the opponent, Isăilă stated:

Regarding team availability, he said:
“We will miss João Victor and Ahmed Fawzi due to injury, but all other players are ready for the match.”

Midfielder Jaloliddin Shukurov expressed confidence and called for the support of the fans, saying:
