Isăilă: We have the qualities to achieve positive results

Baniyas Club held the pre-match press conference ahead of their upcoming fixture against Ajman in the fifth round of the ADNOC Pro League, with newly appointed head coach Daniel Isăilă and goalkeeper Fahad Al Dhanhani speaking to the media.

Head coach Daniel Isăilă began by stressing the difficulty of the match, acknowledging the team’s challenging start to the season:
“We are preparing for a tough game against Ajman. I know the team’s start to the season has not been ideal, and I have only had a few days of work with the players before this match, but I have already seen their enthusiasm and strong desire to improve the situation.”

He continued:
“Ajman are in a somewhat similar position to Baniyas. They also exited competitions early and made several changes to their squad, which has made them a different team that is now performing well. We respect them, but our goal is to achieve a positive result and bring Baniyas back to its natural position.”

Isăilă concluded by expressing confidence in his players:
“I strongly believe we have the right qualities and environment to achieve good results. I accepted this challenge because I am convinced that Baniyas has what it takes to be in a better place. We will miss Saviour Godwin due to injury and Khaled Al Attas due to suspension, but we have the players capable of stepping up and delivering.”

Al Dhanhani: Confidence that we can change the picture

Goalkeeper Fahad Al Dhanhani emphasized the challenge of the match but expressed full confidence in the team:
“It will be a difficult game against a strong and well-organized opponent, but we are confident in our ability to show a better image and achieve a positive result.”

Speaking about the team’s current situation, he said:
“In moments like this, the real character of the team shows. I trust that my teammates are capable of changing the picture and improving the results. Coach Isăilă knows the team well and told us clearly that the past is behind us. He has restored our fighting spirit, and now there is real competition among the players for every position, which is in the best interest of the team.”

He concluded:
“Our focus is to turn the page, start fresh, and aim for victory against Ajman to make our fans proud.”
