Baniyas held its pre-match press conference ahead of the upcoming clash against Khorfakkan in Round 5 of the ADNOC Pro League, with head coach Hassan Al Abdooli and player Niko Diković addressing the media.
Al Abdooli: We believe in our players and aim to achieve a positive result for our fans
Hassan Al Abdooli stressed the importance of the upcoming match against Khorfakkan, expressing his confidence in the quality of the Baniyas squad and the players’ determination to produce a positive performance in the next stage of the season.
“We have an important league match ahead of us on Sunday. We have a group of talented players who are capable of making a difference, and we have great confidence in their abilities and in their capacity to deliver the level required,” Al Abdooli said.
He added:
“The team has not achieved the results it was hoping for in the previous period, but what I have seen from the players in training — their enthusiasm, commitment and response to instructions — gives us a great deal of positivity and confidence ahead of the match.”
The Baniyas coach continued:
“There is a strong desire among all the players to give everything they have. We want to translate the enthusiasm and hard work we have shown in training into a good performance and a positive result in the upcoming match.”
Speaking about his return to Baniyas, Al Abdooli said:
“Baniyas is not unfamiliar to me. It is a club where I have worked before, and I am very proud of that experience. I was part of the coaching staff in 2010 when we finished second in the league, and I have many special memories with this club.”
He added:
“Baniyas is a big club that is respected by everyone. The club has produced outstanding generations of players in the past, and today we have a group capable of continuing that legacy and representing Baniyas in the manner it deserves.”
Al Abdooli also emphasized the team’s responsibility towards the club and its supporters:
“We have a responsibility to uphold the value and identity of Baniyas. We know our fans were hoping for better results, but they have always stood behind the team and supported us, and that support means a great deal to everyone.”
He concluded:
“We will give everything we have for the club and its supporters. Hopefully, we can achieve a positive result against Khorfakkan and make the Baniyas fans happy.”
Diković: We are ready and our goal is to secure the three points
Diković confirmed the team’s readiness for the upcoming clash against Khorfakkan, stressing the players’ determination to secure a positive result.
“We are ready for this match and understand how important it is for us. Our goal is to give our best and secure our first three points of the season,” Diković said.
He added:
“We want to win and improve our position in the league table, and that requires us to remain fully focused and work hard throughout the match.”
Diković concluded:
“It is important that we perform as a team and play with a strong collective spirit. We will give everything we have to achieve the result we are looking for and make the Baniyas fans happy.”
